Zhang Jing, born in June, 1957, party member, born in Shaoshan, Hunan Province, is now the Party Secretary of Xiangtan University. He used to be a member of the Standing Committee of Hunan University Committee, vice president, professor and doctoral supervisor of Hunan University. He is also a member of the Steering Committee for Cultural Quality Education in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, the Steering Committee for Automation Teaching in National Colleges and Universities, the National Expert Committee for Engineering Education Certification, and the China Institute of Electrotechnics. In 2000, he was approved by the State Council as an expert enjoying special government allowance.
