Whose daughter is Jingwei?
Jingwei is the daughter of Emperor Yan.

According to legend, Jingwei is the youngest daughter of Emperor Yan Shennong, whose name is Nuwa. One day, the girl went to the East China Sea to play, but she didn't expect to drown in the water. After her death, the baby girl became a divine bird with a flower head, a white shell and red claws. Every day, she brings stones and plants from the mountains, throws them into the East China Sea, and then wails "Jingwei, Jingwei", as if calling for herself.

Jingwei reclamation is one of the ancient myths and legends in China. Based on different perspectives, people think that the myth of "Jingwei filling the sea" belongs to a typical deformation myth. It means to entrust the soul to a substance that exists in reality, and the girl didn't hate the sea before her death, but she drowned. So, I held a grudge against the sea, and later I became a bird and wanted revenge every day. Therefore, Jingwei's reclamation is also a revenge myth.
