Mr. Richard bagehot, Chairman of the Medical and Scientific Committee of the International Olympic Committee, gave a wonderful lecture on big data of major Olympic injuries to on-site medical officials, and introduced the main work of the Medical Committee of the International Olympic Committee, that is, protecting the health of athletes. Through the data analysis of sports injuries in several Olympic Games, it shows that medical security workers should receive necessary training and will continue to cooperate closely with international individual sports organizations, national (regional) Olympic committees, the Olympic Organizing Committee of the recent host city and other institutions.
According to reports, snow and ice sports are the most likely to cause spinal injury. Academician Qiu Guixing of Peking Union Medical College Hospital gave a special lecture on "Treatment Principles of Spinal Cord Injury in Ice and Snow Sports" for on-site medical staff. Through classic cases and detailed data, this paper introduces the characteristics and mechanism of spinal cord injury in ice and snow sports, and systematically expounds the treatment principles. Academician Zhang Yingze of the Third Hospital of Hebei Province vividly described the minimally invasive treatment of tibial plateau fractures through video and plain films before, during and after operation, which brought new ideas and methods for such treatment to experts.
