In 1662, the prime minister of Louis XIV, Goebbels, gathered the brocade workshops scattered in Paris and established a palace-like "Gobeland Fabric Institute", which was founded by the court painter Charles? Lebrun (16 19- 1690), from which the world-famous "Gobelin tapestry" came. French artistic activities in Louis XIV period were restricted by the court, and tapestry technology was no exception. At that time, the design samples of Gobelan Fabric Institute were all made by court painters, especially those of lebrun. His samples include Greek myths, religious stories and historical events, among which The Story of the King 14, Three Stories of Alexander and Twelve Months, which show the life of Louis XIV, are the best, and have always been regarded as the treasures of Baroque tapestry technology. Of course, some samples were completed with the help of other artists.
