1948, Zhao Shiguang studied under Professor Zhao Shaoang, one of the outstanding representatives of Lingnan School of Painting, and became one of the important representatives of Lingnan School of Painting. He has been in contact with teachers for more than 50 years, and has a unique knowledge and understanding of teachers' art, and has wonderful articles in this respect. Mr. Zhao Shiguang insists on integrating ancient and modern Chinese and foreign techniques, expanding the vision of Chinese painting themes, and likes to write images that have never been written before, depicting rare birds and animals, flowers, fruits, insects and fish all over the world, and is good at expressing feelings by borrowing things, praising truth, goodness and beauty and reflecting the atmosphere of the times. He is especially good at writing coral fish, tropical rainbows and birds of paradise, and his works are well-known at home and abroad. Now, hundreds of paintings and calligraphy by Mr. Zhao Shiguang have been carved into stone, and a stele gallery has been set up in Shantou _ Stone Scenic Area, which is a precedent for individual forest of steles at home and abroad. Unfortunately, the stele gallery has been delayed, and Mr. Zhao Shiguang has already passed away. Losing such a famous contemporary painter and philanthropist who is enthusiastic about culture and education is really a great loss for the art world and the cultural and educational circles. Although Mr. Zhao Shiguang left us for one year, he left behind his pursuit and persistence in fine arts.
