After graduating from Ph.D., he worked in the Bookhaven State Key Laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy. He has been a reviewer of many academic journals and research funds in the world, including the National Science Foundation, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the US Department of Energy and the National Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada.

He has served as a reviewer of articles in many international academic journals, such as Geophysical Research Quarterly, Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics, International Aerosol Science and Technology, Atmospheric and Marine Technology, Atmospheric and Marine Technology and Atmospheric Environment. He is now a member of American Aerosol Research Association, American Geophysical Society and European Geoscience Union.
