Zhuang Yao was born in 1955. 1982 graduated from the Music Department of Northwest Normal University, majoring in theoretical composition. 1989 graduated from Nanjing Art Institute with a master's degree in composition. At present, he is the vice president and professor of the Media College of Nanjing Art College. Vice President of Digital Music Education Society of China Musicians Association, member of Executive Committee of New Media Art Discipline Development of the State Council Degree Office, executive director of Electronic Music Society of China Musicians Association, and member of Art Computer Teaching Steering Committee of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Education.
