Professor Yang Jianguo has been engaged in the teaching, scientific research and management of marine engineering for a long time. One of the leaders of the national key discipline of marine engineering in Wuhan University of Technology, and the project leader of the national "2 1 1" construction project "High-performance ships and their key technologies". The national key discipline of ocean engineering declared by him was approved by the Ministry of Education and became one of the three national key disciplines of Wuhan University of Technology. He himself won the outstanding contribution award for the declaration of national key disciplines of Wuhan University of Technology. He presided over a number of national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, carried out in-depth and systematic research in the field of vibration and thermal parameters monitoring and fault diagnosis of marine diesel engines, made breakthroughs and innovations in the research of comprehensive diagnosis technology and the development of diagnostic devices, and achieved many fruitful scientific research results applied to production. The research results have reached the domestic leading and international advanced level, and won the second prize of military scientific and technological progress 1. The third prize for scientific and technological progress of the Ministry of Communications 1, and the second prize for scientific and technological progress of navigation in China 1. At present, I have mainly participated in the development of the remote monitoring and diagnosis system for ships (a major equipment development project of the Tenth Five-Year Plan), and I am developing a remote diagnosis system for ship machinery based on the network and establishing a remote fault diagnosis center for ship machinery. Mainly participated in the hybrid electric vehicle simulation research project (863 project); He is in charge of two horizontal scientific research and development projects, namely, Development of Performance Diagnosis System for Dredger Diesel Engine and Development of Instantaneous Speed Diagnosis System for Marine Diesel Engine, with a total scientific research fund of 6,543,800 yuan. More than 20 research papers have been published, including 6 excellent natural science papers and 2 monographs in Hubei Province, which were included by SCI and ISTP. He has taught many postgraduate and undergraduate courses, and the teaching quality is good. He has supervised 2 doctoral students and 0 master students (5 of whom have obtained master's degrees). During my tenure as Dean of the School of Energy and Power Engineering, I added 1 national key discipline, 1 first-class doctoral program and postdoctoral mobile station, and 1 doctoral program and undergraduate major, which made outstanding contributions to discipline construction.
