Liu was formerly a member of Hebei Branch of China Artists Association, a member of China Painters Association, a member of China Gongbi Society, a lecturer of the Flower and Bird Research Society of China Art Creation Society, a researcher of the National Academy of Fine Arts, and a distinguished painter of the Painters Association. Graduated from Hunan Normal University, studied in Chinese Painting College of Central Academy of Fine Arts successively, focusing on freehand brushwork of flowers and birds, landscapes and good people. The work has a distinct personality, which is both magnificent and elegant, and has a strong artistic appeal. His works have been published by China Calligraphy and Painting Art Newspaper, Hebei Art Newspaper, China Enterprise Business Daily, Contemporary Painters, Painting Gallery and Classic of Chinese Painting. Many works have won prizes and been collected by museums, memorial halls and celebrities from all walks of life, and monographs such as Liu Yanhong's Painting Collection and Academic Elite Liu Yanhong have been published.
