Hu Zhifeng, 1956, graduated from Shanghai Nanyang Model Middle School and studied in department of engineering physics, Tsinghua University in the same year. /kloc-joined Beijing Opera at the end of 0/959 and starred in Guangzhou Peking Opera Troupe. 1960 became the leading actor and head of Suzhou Peking Opera Troupe. 1985 to 1987, went to the China academy of art for further study, and then transferred to the academy to engage in opera performance, theoretical research and director work.

Hu Zhifeng likes art since he was a child. He studied piano and ballet, attacked Peking Opera Hua Dan, Tsing Yi and Peking Opera Blues, and studied under Wei, Yang, Fang Chuanhui, Zhu Chuanming, Wu Jilan, Xue Lanfen, Bao, etc. Thanks to Mei Lanfang as a teacher, he performed Mei Opera, Xun Opera and Shang Opera. Representative dramas of ancient Chinese operas written, directed and performed by themselves include Li Huiniang, Princess of Flowers, Legend of the White Snake and so on.
