Guan (1948 ~ 198 1), male, from Qidong County, Hengyang City, Han nationality, 1969, graduated from the follow-up class of Hunan Third Normal University and went back to his hometown to farm, risking his life to save a drowning child, and was rated as a model student. 197 1 recruited to the county grain bureau, 1972 joined China * * * in February, 1973 took part in public security work. He has served as the police station in Chengguan Town of Hengyang City and the Criminal Investigation Brigade of Qidong County Public Security Bureau. 198 1 On May 27th, one of the criminals shot at the armory of the People's Armed Forces Department in Nancheng County, Jiangxi Province. In order to protect his comrades, Guan used his body to overwhelm the criminals. Unfortunately, he was shot and died with honor. 1981June 16, the Ministry of Public Security posthumously awarded the title of first-class hero model in the national public security front. Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government posthumously awarded the honorary titles of "Excellent League Member" and "Revolutionary Martyr" respectively.
