Zidane was born in Algeria, Africa, to Berber parents in Algeria, and he was born in Marseille, a city in southern France.
Zidane/Kloc-joined Cannes at the age of 0/3 and started his career. 1988 (that is, when he 16 years old) played for French Cannes for the first time. 1992 joined bordeaux, 1996 helped the club enter the final of the European Football Association Cup. The following year, he moved to Juventus, a powerful Serie A team. Zidane was already famous at that time. He was selected for the French national team when he played in Bordeaux. August 1994 made his first Czech appearance and later became a core member of the national team.
What really brought him to the peak of his life was the 1998 World Cup. He won the World Cup for France for the first time when he scored two goals against Brazil in the World Cup final. After the game, several national team members were decorated by the French President. Zidane also became popular and became a hero in the eyes of the French. France also won the European Cup of Nations in 2000, when Zidane was on the team.
200 1 Zidane joined La Liga Super Club Real Madrid with a world transfer fee record of 66 million US dollars (45 million pounds). This also broke into the second peak of his career. During his stay at Real Madrid, he won the La Liga championship. He even scored a "world wave" in the Europa League final against Leverkusen in 2002 to help the team win the championship. That day happened to be the centenary of the founding of Real Madrid.
Zidane retired from the national team after being eliminated from the quarterfinals of the European Cup of Nations in 2004. However, France returned to the national team after its poor performance in the 2006 World Cup qualifiers, and finally successfully advanced to the 2006 World Cup finals. On April 27th, 2006, Zidane announced that he would retire after the 2006 World Cup.
Zidane's farewell match was the World Cup final against Italy on July 9, 2006. Seven minutes after the start of the game, he scored 12 yards for France. However, in the second half of overtime, Italian player Marco? Materazzi and Zidane had an altercation. Zidane hit his head on the opponent's chest and was sent off. The French team also lost the game in the penalty shootout. Nevertheless, Zidane won the understanding of the French people with his outstanding performance and was finally awarded the Golden Globe Award by FIFA. He is the only player who was sent off with a red card. On July 1 1, 2006, French President Jacques Chirac cordially received Zidane and praised him as one of the most outstanding players in the history of world football.
Since Zidane has retired, he only occasionally appears in charity matches in his own name.

2006 World Cup Final
The 2006 World Cup final was Zidane's last game before he retired, and his opponent was Italy. Zidane 12 yards shot shortly after the final, but Italian defender Materazzi equalized with a header in the first half, and the result of 1 ratio 1 continued until overtime.
Five minutes after the second half of overtime, Zidane was suspected of being angered by Materazzi's words and could not hold his breath to retaliate against the other side. He turned and bent down to slam Materazzi in the chest, and Materazzi fell to the ground. Zidane finally got a red card, but he also drew a full stop in his career that surprised the audience. France lost to Italy with a total score of 3:5 after shooting 12 yards. However, Zidane won the Golden Globe Award (player of the final week) in a vote held before the final.
There are many speculations about the reasons for Zidane's revenge. At first, some lip-reading experts accused Materazzi of insulting Zidane's sister, and it was also reported that Materazzi called Zidane "an ungrateful dog raised in Italy". The Guardian reported that Materazzi told Zidane from Algeria, Africa, "You are a terrorist" [1].
Later, Zidane explained in an interview with French TV that he bumped his head against Materazzi because the other party insulted his sister and mother many times [2] and publicly apologized for his behavior, but stressed that he would not regret fighting back. Although Materazzi admitted that he had made an insult, he denied that the remarks involved Zidane's mother, and the two held their own words.
In an exclusive interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Materazzi reiterated that he did not insult Zidane's mother. He said, "I didn't say anything to him about race, religion or politics, nor did I mention his mother. I lost my mother when I was 15 years old, and now I still have a deep feeling for her every time I mention it. I really didn't know that his mother was recovering in the hospital, so I wanted to send my sincere wishes to her and said, "Zidane will always be my chief idol, and I appreciate his performance on the court" [4].
In mid-July 2006, FIFA indicated that it would conduct a disciplinary investigation on Materazzi. FIFA President Bradat said Zidane's Golden Globe Award may be taken away. Some French lawyers thought that the fourth referee of the match was based on TV video and asked for a rematch, because FIFA rules prohibited referees from using TV video to make a penalty during the match [6].
On July 20th, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee ruled the penalty result: Zidane was suspended for three games and fined 7,500 Swiss francs (about 60 14 US dollars) to keep the Golden Globe award he won in this World Cup. However, due to his retirement, Zidane offered to do community work for his children for three days instead of suspension, and FIFA accepted his suggestion.
