" The next day, he broke into the headquarters of the First Cavalry Division in Laomancheng on foot and said to Ye Cheng, Ma and others who were in a meeting: "If you insist on war and give up peace, you will definitely fall to the point where you can neither fight nor make peace. In vain, officers and men were sacrificed blindly, and people's lives and property suffered losses for no reason. Why do you want to do this? What's good for you? " After a long talk, Ye Cheng and others said they would hand over their troops and leave Xinjiang.

On September 25, Tao Zhiyue electrified the whole country, announced that he would leave the rule of the Kuomintang Guangzhou government, accept the leadership of * * * and Chairman Mao, and led his troops to the people's camp. In February 65438, the uprising troops were ordered to be reorganized into the 22nd Corps of China People's Liberation Army, with Tao Zhiyue as the commander of the Corps.
