Method: Explorer, select Disk-Properties-Tools-Optimize and organize drives-Optimize-Change settings-deselect Run as planned. In addition, if you use SSD, you can use some free SSD optimization tools such as SSD Fresh to optimize.

Control Panel-Administrative Tools-Services-Disable Windows Search. Method: Control Panel-Indexing Options-Select Indexing Item-Modify-Cancel the position that you don't want to index. 4. Move the temporary folder (TEMP/TMP) to a non-system disk.
By default, Win8 will save temporary files on drive C. After long-term use, it is easy to make drive C bloated and fragmented, thus slowing down the system. Moving it to a non-system disk can avoid this problem. Methods: Right-click the computer, select Properties, click Advanced System Settings on the left in the open window, and click the environment variable in the lower right corner. In the pop-up window, there are TEMP and TMP temporary folder values in user variables and system variables. Click Edit to change the variable values to values similar to D:TEMP.
5. Create a quick shutdown/quick restart shortcut:
Win8' s new shutdown method makes many people unaccustomed. In fact, you can manually create a quick shutdown shortcut yourself. Method: Right-click on the desktop to create a shortcut, and enter shutdown.exe-S-T 00 (this is the shutdown code, and if you want to restart, enter shutdown.exe-R-T 00), and then double-click after confirmation. Of course, right-click the shortcut, select Properties, and change its icon. If you want to be more convenient, you can see them in the Metro interface, just right-click and select Fix to the Start screen. In addition, using Start8 can also retrieve the classic start menu for your Win8, so it is as convenient to shut down and restart as in the Win7 era.

7. Set up the super extraction service.
Methods: Control panel-administrative tools-service Superfetch startup type-automatic (delayed startup), which can avoid frequent access to hard disk just after Win8 starts.
8. Set Win8 to log in automatically, which saves the trouble of entering a password every time you start up, and it is faster to start up.
Method: shortcut key win+r–enter netplwiz-–cancel the option of having to enter the user name and password when using the computer–then double-click the account that needs automatic login–and enter your password.

If you don't see this function, please turn on hibernation first: win+x–command prompt–enter powercfg -h on.
10. Close the startup screen (GUI startup) to speed up the startup.
Although the mixed startup of Win8 has made the startup speed satisfactory, sometimes turning off GUI startup can further optimize the startup speed. Methods: shortcut key win+r–enter msconfig-Boot-–check no GUI boot, and confirm to restart.

Some computer network card drivers are too old. If IPv6 is enabled, the boot system may not respond or pretend to be dead. Moreover, at present, IPv6 network is far from being popular in China, so saving some resources by shutting down will not cause any problems. Methods: Network Sharing Center-Network Connection-Ethernet-Properties-Cancel IPv6.
