Yongcheng city, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Henan Province, is managed by Shangqiu City directly under the jurisdiction of Henan Province. Located in the easternmost part of Henan Province, at the junction of Henan, Shandong, Jiangsu and Anhui provinces, it is a regional central city. It was rated as "Millennium Ancient County", a key county and city in Henan Province, and known as "the gateway to eastern Henan".
Yongcheng has a total area of 2020 square kilometers. By the end of 2022, it had jurisdiction over 6 streets, 24 towns and 1 township. By the end of 2022, the permanent population of yongcheng city was1259,500.
