Tea ancestor legend of Gushu black tea
The magic bred by Jingmai Tea Mountain is also inseparable from a Bulang hero. The ancestors of Bulang nationality are a branch of Baipu. They discovered tea during their long migration, and stopped to drink tea in Jingmai Mountain, where they have survived for generations. Paailan, the leader, was the first person to domesticate and plant tea trees artificially. In order to give future generations of Bulang people happiness, he and his wife Princess Dai left a tea mountain for future generations to use endlessly. This tea mountain is Jingmai Mountain.

To this day, Bulang people still benefit from this tea mountain left by Pa Allen, and tea has become one of the main sources of local economy. People will never forget the kindness of Pa Allen and call him "the tea ancestor". They hold a grand tea ancestor festival every three years, and cows are driven to worship their ancestors, sing and dance, and pray for blessing.
