He is one of the earliest scholars in China who recognized the "inflammation theory" of asthma and took airway anti-allergic inflammation as the main treatment measure. Early diagnosis of lung cancer and asthma has also been well studied. Can combine the advantages of traditional Chinese and western medicine to diagnose and treat common diseases, especially common respiratory diseases, significantly improve the curative effect and have a wide social impact; It also has a great influence on the treatment of common tumors. He has a scientific understanding of Chinese medicine and put forward the theory that the basic core of Chinese medicine consists of three parts. In recent years, he has published dozens of papers in national magazines and edited 4 monographs; Received more than one million scientific research funds, including the Eighth Five-Year Plan, state administration of traditional chinese medicine, Shanghai Science and Technology Commission and other projects. 1994 was awarded as the successor of the discipline echelon of Shanghai Medical University, and 1996 won the "Shanghai Excellent Academic Award of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine (Youth Award)".
