Feng Zhiqiang, a world-famous geologist.
Feng Zhiqiang, male, was born in 1935, Tangyin, Henan. Formerly called Feng Hanqing. Party member, the Communist Party of China (CPC), 1955 Graduated from Geology Department of Northwest University, 1984- 1985 studied at Hawaii Geophysical Institute. He used to be the deputy chief engineer, deputy chief commander and deputy commander of Nanhai Geological Survey Command of the Ministry of Geology and Minerals, the national project director of the United Nations Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation /85/O44 project, the director of China Marine Geology Society, the executive director of Guangdong Petroleum Society, the director of China Geological Disaster and Prevention Research Association, and the vice president of Marine Geological Disaster Research Association and Nanhai Petroleum Development Environment Research Association. He is currently a professor-level senior engineer and senior technical consultant of Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey Bureau of the Ministry of Land and Resources, an adjunct professor of China Geo University (Beijing), and the winner of the 4th Li Siguang Geological Science Award, enjoying special government allowance. In 1950s, he participated in the geological survey in western China and the discovery of Lenghu Oilfield, and won the honorary title of "Advanced Individual in Qinghai Province". 1955- 1963, engaged in petroleum exploration and geological research in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and participated in the discovery of Lenghu Oilfield in Qaidam Basin; 1958 presided over the comprehensive geological research and prospecting in the eastern part of Kunlun Mountain; At the rate of 1959 per year, the "Communist Youth League Geological Team" completed the route geological mapping of Tanggula Mountain area with an average elevation of more than 4,000 meters; In the 1960s, he was transferred to the Institute of Marine Geological Survey, mainly engaged in petroleum geology and marine geological investigation, and was one of the main discoverers of large oil-bearing basins in the Pearl River Estuary of the South China Sea. Presided over the cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme, carried out the investigation and study of1:200,000 regional seabed instability in China's waters for the first time, opening up a new field of marine disaster geology and engineering geology investigation and research in China. From 65438 to 0964, he was transferred to Nanjing Institute of Marine Geology, Ministry of Geology, and participated in petroleum geology research in Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea and southern Jiangsu. 1970 participated in the organization of oil and gas exploration in Beibu Gulf after going south to Guangdong with the Institute, which provided basic data for the first drilling in this area. 1975 presided over the comprehensive study of the survey data in the northern South China Sea, and found that the Pearl River Mouth Basin, a large oil and gas area, was identified and named, the structural units were divided, and the first breakthrough of high-yield oil wells was organized. This basin has become the main offshore oil producing area in China. 1985- 1992 led the United Nations aid project to China and carried out the first1:200,000 marine engineering geological survey in the South China Sea, which opened up a new field of marine survey in China. Since the 1980s, it has successively won the second prize of the National Natural Science Award, the first and third prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize of the Ministry of Geology and Minerals for prospecting, the first prize of geological exploration achievements, and the geological survey of Li Siguang. He has compiled more than 30 investigation reports, published more than 20 papers, organized 2 international technical conferences and published 3 monographs and papers. His representative works include Structural Evolution of the Pearl River Mouth Basin and Formation of the South China Sea, Geological Disasters in the Northern South China Sea and Evaluation of Submarine Engineering Geological Conditions, Continental Marginal Geology and Geophysics, etc.
