Guan is a famous Confucian general in Huangpu Department. He is not only familiar with ancient and modern art books, but also extensively dabbles in classical literature and a hundred schools of thought contend. He is also good at calligraphy and diligent in Linchi.
Be good at independent thinking when reading. In the early 1930s, when he was teaching the brigade commander of the 11th Brigade of the Second Division, he read Darwin's Origin of Species translated by Ma. In the book, he said that people evolved from apes, but he disagreed. He said to Qin Yizhi, chief of staff of the brigade, "Why can't apes become people now?" Isn't it just that it won't change once? I think people are born with only the difference between primitive people and modern people. Man is one of all things, not changed from other kinds. "Familiar with the art of war, know that" a good fighter is in danger, short in section, like expanding crossbows, like dialing a machine ". His understanding is: "the potential danger is to create a dangerous environment for the enemy, such as luring the enemy into my ambush and then killing him in one fell swoop with lightning speed." This is a short paragraph. The secret of Sun Tzu's art of war lies in the words "short and dangerous". "He knows the modern art of war, especially Clausius's On War. When he was the commander of the 52nd Army, he gave a speech in the Military Training Corps and serialized it in the academic column of Ta Kung Pao. When he was stationed in Wenshan, Yunnan, he often taught the Book of Changes to cadre training classes. Guan has a good eloquence. He has warned his students many times: "We should study Sun Tzu's art of war and history of war, but we must remember Sun Wuzi's words:' The soldiers are unpredictable, and the water is unpredictable. We should also remember Yue Wumu's words: "The cleverness of management lies in one heart." Never be a tragic figure of Zhao style who doesn't know how to use it flexibly. "
There are many good writers among the soldiers in Huangpu. Zhang was admitted to the History Department of Peking University in his early years, and then entered the fourth phase of Huangpu. He often wrote nave and couplets for Baoze, and his Mo Bao was hung in Nanjing's army. Li Luo, a senior student in Huangpu, was the director of the office of the southwest military and political chief. After moving to Taiwan Province, he was promoted to Commander-in-Chief of the Army and General II of the Army. His calligraphy was Zhao Meng's, and later he became a family. Yuan Pu, born in Huangpu Phase I, holds the rank of Lieutenant General. After arriving in Taiwan Province, he was promoted to commander of the army corps, deputy commander-in-chief of the army and second-class general of the army. His writing skills are excellent. Liu Zhaoming, a native of Zhuji, Zhejiang Province, was born in Huangpu Phase 5. He used to be the deputy commander of the 57th Army of the Kuomintang and the division commander of the 2nd15th Division. 1949- 12 Uprising in Qionglai, Sichuan, and served as the vice chairman of Zhuji CPPCC after the founding of New China. His books are beautifully stretched and his calligraphy is quite good. But among the Huangpu generals, the most famous calligrapher is Guan He Zhang.
/kloc-in the winter of 0/944, Guan was on a business trip from Yunnan to Chongqing, and Yu Youren hosted a banquet for Guan in his apartment, and made an appointment with Zhang, Pang Qi and Dang Bigang, fellow villagers from Shaanxi who were studying in the Army University. Only after the banquet did Pang Qi and Dang Bi know about Guan's good book and asked, "I'm afraid no one dares to write here! However, I dare to write, teach fish to swim! " He smiled back and said to Yu Youren, "I heard that once I wrote you a letter, and you didn't know all the words." Yu Youren smiled and said, "That's your toot!" Explain that the cursive script written by Guan is not standardized. Guan wrote two cursive scripts on the topic of Yu Youren case, namely Ponzi and Dangbi. After writing, Yu Youren encouraged Guan to say, "Great progress." At that time, Zhang was still rather stiff in front of Guan, either because of the superior-subordinate relationship with Guan or because of the seniority of Huangpu (Zhang was the fourth phase of Huangpu and Guan was the first phase of Huangpu). He took out a notebook from his coat pocket and respectfully handed it to Guan, saying, "Please tell me a few words from the Commander-in-Chief." At that time, he served as deputy commander-in-chief of the first army.
When Guan was a child, he studied in Cangxi Primary School in Huxian Village, Shaanxi Province. He was gifted, but he was good at dancing guns and making sticks. Because he often fights, the teacher Zhang Xiufu reprimanded him: "The way to pass, if you want to get things done in the future, ride the donkey on my door and scold!" " Ten years later, Zhang Xiufu became the principal of Shaanxi No.1 Middle School and became a brigade commander. Guan once went back to his hometown without riding a donkey to find a teacher. Instead, I went to see the teacher respectfully with a gift and wrote a picture of nave for the teacher. Zhang Naihua, the four-year dean of Shaanxi Medical College, saw this picture of nave, but he didn't believe it was written by Guan. 1946, Guan returned to Shaanxi from Yunnan and hosted a banquet in an restaurant to entertain celebrities from all walks of life. Zhang Naihua, a fellow villager in Huxian County, was also invited. Every few days, Guan invited Zhang to his private house in Anbei Street, and they had a good talk. Guan said in the conversation that he had to learn and practice calligraphy on horseback and in the trenches in the middle of the war to enrich himself. Zhang Naihua then asked President Zhang Xiufu that nave was written by Guan himself. "I wrote it." Guan smiled and said, "You don't have to hide from others in front of the township party secretary and predecessors. Let's just joke. " Zhang said, "Yes, it's hard to get rid of the old feelings of the old branch secretary-do you want to stay forever with a wave of your hand?" Guan said, "If you, a German doctor of medicine, don't mind, I'll doodle now!" " Immediately ordered the adjutant to bring pen, ink, paper and inkstone, and wrote the sentence "Mencius Zhang Wan" on his desk: "It's neither its meaning nor its way, and Lu Zhishen takes care of the world." In the same year, Guan learned that Huaqingchi in Lintong had a tablet of "Hot Springs Fu" in the Northern Wei Dynasty, which was listed as a precious stone tablet in previous dynasties. Guan loved this monument very much, and sent someone to the Lintong county government to negotiate and instruct the Lintong county government to properly protect it. At that time, a huge donation of 654.38 million yuan was used as the scholarship fund for middle school students in Lintong County. At that time, public opinion praised him as "a Confucian general with high spirits." Guan is enthusiastic about education. As early as 1934, he started a primary and secondary school in Zhenhuatuan village, his hometown in Huxian county, and enrolled more than 130 school-age children that year. 1946, Wei Zhenhua middle school was established, covering an area of 60 mu, with more than 70 school buildings, with the principal Qin Guan. Wei Zhenhua Middle School was renamed Huxian Normal School after the founding of New China, and later changed to Huxian No.3 Middle School, now called Zhenhua Middle School.
After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Guan fell out of favor with powerful people, was repeatedly slandered by small gangs, and his career was frustrated. Guan, on the other hand, is outspoken, refuses to flatter others and goes with the flow. /kloc-in the autumn of 0/949, he resolutely settled in Hong Kong with his family. In Hong Kong, I live in seclusion, don't participate in any political meetings and social activities, don't meet reporters, don't make any comments in newspapers and periodicals, and take pleasure in reading, writing and educating children. Read Spring and Autumn Annals, I Ching, Warring States Policy and Sun Tzu's Art of War; Huai Su's cursive scripts Notre Dame, Eat Fish, Preface of Thousand Characters and Yu Youren's standard cursive script of Thousand Characters were carefully studied and studied. Guan is good at cursive writing, bold and graceful with a pen, and has his own masculinity. Guan's cursive script is the externalization of his psychology, which is called "words are like people" His cursive works have participated in the exhibition of Hong Kong City Hall and have been well received by all walks of life.
1975, Chiang Kai-shek died in Taiwan Province Province, and went to Taiwan to pay his respects. Huangpu classmates and others greeted them at the airport, and they cried bitterly. During his stay in Taiwan, Jiang Jingguo kept him for many times, but he didn't come down. In his later years, Guan wanted to visit the mainland, but he failed to make it. He often goes to the movies with his family. He appreciates movies made by Chinese mainland, such as Borrowing the East Wind and Young Women. On one occasion, the whole family went to see the Jin opera movie Six Chapters in the Snow. Because the singing and Daobai of Jin Opera in the film are similar to those of Qin Opera, he misses his relatives in his hometown and can't help but burst into tears.
In the early morning of July 30th, 1980, Guan was critically ill and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Doctors and nurses were surprised to find that his chest was scarred during the rescue. Mrs. Guan said, "These are all injuries he suffered during the Anti-Japanese War." The medical staff present were moved. 1 year in August, Guan passed away. China People's Broadcasting Station, People's Daily and major newspapers all published the news of his death. On the day of the funeral, hundreds of students, relatives and friends of Huangpu Military Academy attended the ceremony, and Xinhua Port Branch, CPPCC and Marshal Xu (Huangpu Phase I) sent wreaths. Xu sent a message of condolence to his family in Hong Kong: "I am deeply saddened to hear this bad news. My classmates in Huangpu miss it very much! I would like to express my condolences. "
