Since 198 1, he has been engaged in the teaching and research of interdisciplinary subjects, making pioneering contributions to interdisciplinary research and interdisciplinary education research. He first published papers and monographs on interdisciplinary research (1985, 1990), and published China's Theory of Interdisciplinary Education. Established interdisciplinary journal (1986), established interdisciplinary research institute (1993) and published modern interdisciplinary monograph (1998). In addition, the monograph Beauty and Creation (1989) and other academic works have been published. Interdisciplinary science is a new discipline that emerged in 1970s. This paper mainly studies the laws and methods of cross-infiltration of different disciplines. This new discipline meets the needs of the comprehensive and coordinated development of economy, society, science and education, and has important theoretical and practical significance. His research has attracted the attention of academic circles at home and abroad. The British-based International Interdisciplinary Science Review has published two articles to evaluate his pioneering work in interdisciplinary research, arguing that "the latest achievements of interdisciplinary research in China, represented by creative new ideas, have important theoretical significance and academic value, marking the development of interdisciplinary research in China into a new era." In recent years, under the guidance of Mr. Zhang Dainian, he has been engaged in the comprehensive innovation research of China's philosophy and culture, presided over the national social science fund project "Traditional Culture and the Construction of Socialism with Chinese characteristics Culture", published many papers in publications such as Philosophical Research and the History of China's Philosophy, and published a multi-volume monograph "The Ancient Road is Today's Dream" by Elephant Publishing House.
