Job hunting experience of Tongji University graduates

There are about 30 students in our class, and there are 8 classes in the whole major. Except those studying and studying in Germany, about four fifths of them are looking for jobs. At present, 90% people have basically found jobs. Tongji is famous for its science and engineering, and many counterparts will come directly to the school to hold special job fairs. Our mechanical college has at most 2-3 job fairs every day.

Michelin tire is the first company I invested in. Without experience, the written test was brushed. The written test is a bit of an intelligence test, and many of them are graphic questions. I finished 70 questions in 20 minutes, but I didn't finish them. Looking back now, if we had arranged our time reasonably and spent less time on the previous questions, there should be no problem in the interview.

Frustrated for the second time, I applied for Yanfeng Visteon. Yan Feng's written test is divided into two parts, personality test and ability test. After passing the written test, I accepted an assessment similar to scenario simulation. Give each candidate an identity, assuming that he is a member of Yanfeng, including his name, department and boss. Then, HR gives us a scene of getting up in the morning and rushing to work in the company. Next, turn on the computer and face a pile of emails to deal with. The contents of the email include that the boss is going on a business trip, two new customers want to talk to the boss, an invitation to a class reunion and so on. The task is to handle all the work involved in the email. Write down what you handle first, and then write down what you handle and how to handle it. Through the whole process, it reflects our judgment on the importance of things, whether we have the ability to grasp the key points, whether we have the ability to communicate with other departments and so on.

Although I felt that the answer was good, I still didn't enter the next round of interview. Two classmates with me passed, and I asked their answers, which were basically the same. Afterwards, I thought it might be because I changed too much when I answered, which affected the examiner's reading.

GM: The interview questions are uncomfortable.

I submitted my resume at the special job fair of General Motors. After the written test, I participated in the recruitment interview of Powertrain General Factory. Originally, GM's brand was good and its overall state was good. But in the interview, GM left a very general impression on me, and finally I gave up. If you want to find a job, it is better to find a corporate culture that suits your temper and personality.

At the first interview of GM, the examiner asked if you could work overtime, and I naturally said yes. Then, he immediately asked if he could change shifts. The third class spent a lot of money, but it was very hard. To be honest, I don't want to, but I still have to say yes during the interview. The third question is whether I want to travel, but I still answer yes. The other party explained that a new factory would be built in Yantai, Shandong Province, and people would be sent there. I didn't answer any questions. The other party told me very rudely. Don't worry, say no problem, then there is a problem. This difference is not 1-2 years, but at least three years in Shandong. ? At that time, I thought, after three years, can I still be called a business trip?

It's not that I don't want to work overtime, nor that I don't want to travel, but the attitude of the other party makes me feel very uncomfortable. I didn't ask any questions about my major or ability. I asked about overtime as soon as I met, and I kept asking, which made me very uncomfortable. I think they don't pay enough attention and respect to the candidates.

Yan Feng: The examiner in Nice has a thorny problem.

In the process of applying for a job, I was deeply impressed by three aspects of an automobile decoration company owned by Yanfeng. The first round of written test is a personality test, and the first round of interview is also very simple, that is, introduce yourself in English. The second interview is very routine, and HR asked several basic questions about study and practice. By the third interview, the examiner will become German.

Tongji University has a deep relationship with Germany, so most Tongji students will take German as an elective course. Among them, automobile and other majors have 1 year German intensive reading (so their academic system is 5 years). I took German as an elective course, but I only got a junior certificate, so I was still not sure about the interview, so I chose to speak English. German corporate executives have good English.

My resume briefly lists some professional courses, one of which is? Induction test? . The German examiner asked me to introduce the content of this course in English. I thought for a long time, but I didn't know how to explain this course in English, so I had to bite the bullet and say it. After talking for a long time, I felt that I didn't make it clear and didn't understand each other's eyes. I was a little discouraged and had to turn to an interpreter and tell him honestly that I might not be able to explain the course better. After the translation, the expression of German officials was no longer serious. He smiled and told me in English that he had studied this course and didn't know how to explain it clearly in English, so he wanted to hear how I explained it in English. ? Takeiteasy! ? Relax! With his comfort, I'm not as nervous as I was at first. Next, he took out the map, asked where my family lived and showed it to him.

The problem of the German face official is very difficult and difficult to prepare, but his attitude is very kind. Finally, I didn't succeed. Summing up experience, I think the problem is not the problem of curriculum interpretation, but the problem of language communication. Another Tongji boy in my group is in the automobile department, and his German is very good. Chat directly with the official in German after entering the door. The examiner asked him if he had been to Germany. It happened that he had been to Hanover, and the two of them had a relaxed chat on topics such as scenic tourism, which was very speculative. Sure enough, he was finally admitted.

Two sides of the public: stress is dangerous.

Shanghai Volkswagen is also more relaxed here. The examiner gave me an empty topic and looked forward to the automobile industry in 20 years in English. It is difficult to speak on such a large scale, let alone in English. I think it is better to find an incision and talk about the future development trend of the automobile industry from the perspective of environmental protection and energy.

As for the two sides of the public, it is still a bit thrilling. The examiner gave me the assumption that you are an old employee of Volkswagen, and one day you suddenly found that there were hidden dangers in the design of a project you participated in three years ago. What would you do? Of course I answered, truthfully reported the situation to my superiors, and then tried to make up for it quickly.

The examiner asked again: If your superiors think that times have changed, don't expose the past and treat it as a trivial matter. What would you do? I have to answer that if this mistake affects driving safety, then I will report it to my boss so that I can take action. If he objects, I will only report it to the safety production or other departments.

? This is a leapfrog report! ? As soon as I heard the examiner's conclusion, I was worried and felt that he was denying my point of view. I can only adjust my attitude slightly and explain: as a leader, the boss must know more than I do. If he thinks this mistake is harmless, then I will listen to him. However, if there are security risks, I will insist.

The examiner was still dissatisfied and kept asking: What would you do if the boss kept insisting, that is to say, forget it? The other party insisted on asking one question after another. I'm a little confused and shaken about her attitude. Should I listen to the leader? But considering the public's brand reputation, I still insist on the bottom line that security risks cannot be put aside.

Later, I felt that the examiner kept asking me again and again, not necessarily to see whether I chose to listen to my boss or stick to my own opinion, but more to observe my ability to withstand pressure and my reaction and performance under strong pressure.

Volkswagen has three aspects: excellent performance and smooth customs clearance.

After the second interview with the public, I was barely relieved. Thirdly, the public adopts the popular group discussion form of foreign companies. Different from others discussing business cases, what is discussed in public? Run away? Question 8 people in a group, 30 minutes, in a room, there are 3 examiners watching.

The scene of our group is: 2 years, 1 1 month? On August, the plane in which eight of us were flying crashed. Eight people from different countries survived, but they were on a desert island. We have 12 available things around us: Swiss army knives, bread, plastic sheets, ropes, lighters, medicines, compasses, mirrors, a German-French dictionary, etc. (I still can't remember a few things clearly). The requirement is that after the group discussion, 12 things should be sorted according to their importance, and the reasons should be given.

You know, the examiner in the group discussion is looking at whether you have any ideas. So, first of all, I suggest you take five minutes to make your own list and then discuss it. During the discussion, I found that everyone was in the same column. I find it difficult to explain the reasons for the ranking. My idea is to divide 12 items into three categories: basic necessities for survival, help-seeking items and self-help items to help us escape from a desert island. Everyone agrees with my classification suggestion and three categories. Then further discuss how to divide 12 into three categories. The result of brainstorming is better than my previous classification. For example, the mirror, team members suggested that it can be classified as a help-seeking category, because it can use reflection. I made a final concluding speech. I think this performance is still very good. As it turns out, in the end, three of the eight people in our group stayed.

Another point, the public has done a good job, that is, after passing all the exams, we will be assigned to various departments for a two-week internship according to our own wishes and majors. I hope that through this time, we can increase mutual understanding. If it is not suitable, it can be adjusted as soon as possible to reduce future instability.
