* 2000-Professor at Bordeaux University, France, visiting professor at Lausanne Polytechnic University, University of Pennsylvania, Harvard University School of Design, Southeast University, etc. Academician of American Academy of Arts, honorary member of royal institute of british architects (RIBA) and American Institute of Architects (AIA), honorary member of European Academy of Arts.

* 20 1 1 May Honorary Professor of China Academy of Fine Arts.

* 2011September, won the UIA International Architecture Association Outstanding Contribution Award (International Architecture Association Gold Award).
