Cheng's daughter is Cheng Hong (1957 ~), a native of Zhengzhou, Henan Province, and her ancestral home is Junan, Shandong Province. During the Cultural Revolution, Cheng Hong went to the countryside to "jump the queue" and then studied English in Tsinghua University. Under the introduction of a few enthusiastic friends, she married Li Keqiang, secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee of Peking University, who is two years older than her.
Unlike other high-ranking officials' wives who are keen on communication or shopping, Cheng Hong prefers the tranquility of the campus. She is also enthusiastic about teaching, and was elected as "Top Ten Teachers in My Mind" twice. Cheng Hong is a member of capital university of economics and business Academic Committee.
The school has been interested in promoting her to the position of dean or even higher, but Cheng Hong refused. She doesn't like complicated administrative affairs and boring entertainment, and of course she doesn't want to be called expensive. After Li Keqiang entered Zhongnanhai as the executive deputy prime minister, Cheng Hong basically didn't attend the lecture hall, mainly doing research work.
