Li Ming, 1957 was born in Changsha, Hunan Province, and 1998 graduated from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts with a master's degree, where he stayed as a teacher. 1999-2000 went to study in Europe, and in 2000 served as vice president of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. He is currently the president and professor of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, director of China Artists Association, member of Sculpture Art Committee of China Artists Association, member of Art Committee of National Urban Sculpture Construction Steering Committee, vice president of China Sculpture Society, deputy director of Guangdong Environmental Art Committee and member of Guangzhou Urban Art Committee.
