Maybe the version of office is wrong. You made it with a high version of office, and then the version on your computer was low. First determine where it is made and what version it is, then download a version of office software for yourself and you can open it. If it is convenient to retrieve it on that machine, you can open it on the original machine, save it as the lowest version file, and then retrieve it.
