Zhu, male, born in June, professor, director of GIS Engineering Center of State Key Laboratory of Surveying, Mapping, Remote Sensing and Information Engineering of Wuhan University. Mainly engaged in the research and development of geographic information system. As a main member, he participated in and completed the youth fund project of National Natural Science Foundation "Research on GIS-based map design expert system"; National Surveying and Mapping Science and Technology Development Fund Project "Digital Thematic Map Color Separation System" and "China Social Development Level Dynamic Mapping System"; Sub-topics of the Eighth Five-Year Science and Technology Public Relations Project of the State Science and Technology Commission: map Chinese character labeling system and map typesetting system; National Natural Science Foundation "Research on Distributed Component Object Model and Its Application in Internet Geographic Information System" and "Research on Object-oriented Integrated Data Model in GIS"; Scientific research tasks such as the research of 863 project "Spatial information mobile user application service".

A lot of work has been done in the localization of GIS software. As one of the main technical leaders, he has completed the key scientific and technological project of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping "Development and Commercialization of Basic Software of Geographic Information System" and developed a new generation of domestic basic software of Geographic Information System (GeoStar). In the aspect of software system design and software integration, the problems of spatial data management and software secondary development in GeoStar are solved. Based on GeoStar, he undertook or participated in the research of provincial-level basic geographic information system demonstration project, national basic geographic information database management system type I product, national sea area aerial survey information system and real-time dynamic valve control system, and presided over projects such as Beijing urban green isolation zone planning and development information system, Sino-Vietnamese border demarcation information system (related to GIS software development) and remote sensing image change detection based on Chang 'e-2 satellite. Among them, "Research on Provincial Basic Geographic Information System Demonstration Project" has reached the international advanced level, and reached the world leading level in DEM, image and vector integration. At present, we are mainly engaged in the research and development of network GIS, spatial database, spatial information service, 863 project "Integrated management and sharing service system of basic geographic information" and "Design of multi-level grid framework of spatial information and related technology research".
