From the specific content of consciousness, consciousness is the unity of knowledge, emotion and meaning. Knowledge refers to knowledge, which is the pursuit of the truth of the world, and it is unified with the connotation of knowledge. Emotion refers to emotion, which is human's feeling and evaluation of objective things, and is manifested as psychological experience activities of love, hate, yearning and emotion. It means will, which is the self-restraint, perseverance, confidence and indomitable mental state that human beings show when they pursue a certain purpose and ideal.
Lenin said that human consciousness not only reflects the objective world, but also creates it.
Fact is everything that exists objectively, but it is the internal connection of objective things, that is, regularity. What we seek is to study it. Seeking truth from facts is to proceed from the actual situation, deduce the internal laws rather than the imaginary ones, and find out the internal relations of the surrounding events as a guide for our actions. Marx and Engels founded the ideological line of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, and Comrade Mao Zedong summarized it as seeking truth from facts in China language.
Dialectical materialism holds that the material world moves, changes and develops according to its own internal laws, and everything is divided into two. It reveals that the fundamental reason for the development of things lies in the contradictions within things. The contradictory law of things, that is, the law of unity of opposites, is the most fundamental law of the movement, change and development of the material world.
Historical materialism holds that the ultimate cause and motive force of all important historical events is social and economic development, the change of production mode and exchange mode, and the result of social differentiation into different classes, that is, the game between these classes. The economic base determines the superstructure.
