Yao Chong's resume.
Fan Zhongyan was a famous politician and writer in the Northern Song Dynasty. An article "The Story of Yueyang Tower" made him a household name, and his noble sentiment of "worrying about the world first, and enjoying the world later" became a political model. The lofty ideal of putting the interests of the country and the nation first, worrying about the future and destiny of the motherland and contributing to the happiness of the people under the sun touched the world.

More than ten kilometers east of Yichuan County, there is a village called Xu Ying. Not far from the north of the village, a garden with its back to Wanan Mountain and facing the Quhe River is Fan Zhongyan's graveyard. Some people question that although Luoyang is a treasure, Fan Zhongyan was born in Suzhou and died in Xuzhou. He has never worked in Luoyang. How can he be buried in Luoyang?

So, it has something to do with his life experience.

Fan Zhongyan's father, Fan Yong, followed Wu Heqian into the Northern Song Dynasty in his early years and became an official in Wuning Army. Later, posthumous title Zhou Guogong. Fan Fu has married two wives, Chen and Xie. Fan Zhongyan's mother was his second wife Xie, but unfortunately, she died shortly after Xie gave birth to Fan Zhongyan. Helpless, Xie took Fan Zhongyan and remarried to Zitong county magistrate and single county rich man Zhu. Fan Zhongyan also changed his name to Zhu said.

When Fan Zhongyan became an adult, after knowing his life experience, he went to Suzhou to recognize his ancestors and return to the ancestral home, and finally restored Fan's family and changed his name to Zhong Yan. But because Fan Zhongyan's mother remarried, she could not be buried in Fan's ancestral grave. If her mother is buried in the ancestral grave of Zhujiajian Island's family, Fan Zhongyan, who has a compound surname, cannot be buried with her mother. Therefore, after Fan Zhongyan's mother died, she was temporarily buried in Shangqiu.

As luck would have it, Fan Zhongyan went to Dengfeng Songyang Academy to give lectures, and happened to pass by Yichuan, so he went to visit the cemetery of Yao Chong, a famous figure in the Tang Dynasty, and his mother (Yao Chong's mother had remarried and was buried under Wanan Mountain after her death). After this visit, Fan Zhongyan decided to follow Yao Chong's example and bury his mother in Yichuan, where he will be buried a hundred years later to show filial piety to his mother.

In addition, Fan Zhongyan thinks Luoyang is a king with dangerous terrain. Compared with Kaifeng, it is more suitable as the national capital. During his lifetime, he repeatedly suggested to Song Renzong to move the capital to Luoyang, but it was not adopted. But this still affected Mr. Fan's love and dependence on Luoyang, so he really put the tomb in Luoyang after his death.
