Introduction of Zhejiang University of Technology: Located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, it is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province. It is the first batch of "provincial key construction universities" in Zhejiang Province, which has been selected into the national "20 1 1 plan", "excellent engineer education and training plan" and "excellent".

The motto of the school is "build on virtue". As of February 18, 2022, the school has three campuses in Zhao Hui, Feng Ping and Moganshan, covering an area of 3,365 mu. The school has 26 secondary colleges and 1 department, independent colleges have 66 undergraduate enrollment majors, covering philosophy, economics, law, education and other 10 first-level disciplines, 13 doctoral degree authorization points, 2 doctoral degree authorization points and 29 master degree authorization first-level disciplines.

1953 On July 3, the Ministry of Heavy Industry of the Central People's Government issued a document, merging the Wenzhou Industrial School in Zhejiang Province, the Chemical Engineering Department of Hangzhou Industrial School in Zhejiang Province and the Chemical Engineering Department of Suzhou Advanced Industrial Technology School in Jiangsu Province, and choosing Hangzhou as the school name. The campus covers an area of 235 mu and has three majors: inorganic technology, analytical chemistry and chemical plant machinery and equipment.

After the merger of the three schools, there are 835 students in class 19 (including 6 in Wenzhou). Wenzhou Industrial School in Zhejiang Province was renamed as Wenzhou Branch of Hangzhou Chemical Industry School of the Ministry of Heavy Industry of the Central People's Government.
