The main research direction is mainly engaged in insect cell culture research, resource insects and insect medicinal value research.
He has presided over many research projects, such as National Natural Science Foundation, Applied Basic Research Fund, Agricultural Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Fund Project of Ministry of Science and Technology, National Forestry Administration's Introduction of Foreign Advanced Agricultural Technology (948) Project, Yunnan Science and Technology Key Project, Science and Technology Development Fund Key Project of Chinese Academy of Forestry, and international cooperation projects. At present, he is in charge of research projects such as special funds for scientific research in forestry public welfare industry, key projects of State Forestry Administration and sub-projects of national science and technology support plan. He has published more than 30 papers and written 2 monographs. 1 one achievement won the third prize for scientific and technological progress of the State Forestry Administration (ranked first), and two achievements won the second prize for natural science of Yunnan Province (ranked second and eighth).
