Mr. nan huaijin said: It is inconvenient for some old friends who study Buddhism to concentrate on their practice at home, but they are not used to living with practice groups. In fact, he can't "go with the flow"! He can't "live like this", he can't even change a bed, let alone anything else. In fact, is the bed and environment really that serious? No, because this mind can't calm down, the environment and things suddenly change, so we are not used to it, because this mind can't calm down.
The so-called "Vientiane will inevitably miss a wave", all the troubles and pains in life are due to one thought in my heart. Because of this idea, there are 1 million fantasies. From then on, I couldn't calm down, so I was happy and worried. Since then, I have been very troubled and entangled. "There is no smoke without fire", because of an idea, the Wanli storm was born, and there was no peace from then on.
Buddhists say that the root of life's bitterness lies in desire, and desire is thought. Without desire, there would be a lot less trouble in the world. However, desire comes from nature and cannot be cut, which is easier said than done. Therefore, Mr. Nan added: "Learn Buddhism and practice in life. If this idea can be calm, all methods will be empty. However, this idea is the most difficult to flatten. This idea is next. Because of the feelings and persistence of greed, ignorance and doubt, this idea can't be leveled for a while, so all practice is in vain. "
A monk asked Zen master Wei Kuan of Xingshan Temple in Jingzhao, "Where is Tao?"
Zen master Wei Kuan replied: "Tao is in front of us!" "
The monk was puzzled: "Then why can't I see it?"
The Zen master replied, "Because you have me, you can't see."
The monk then asked, "I can't break my heart, so I can't see." Can you see it, master? "
The Zen master calmly replied: "Because of you, I am also tempted, so I can't see it!" "
The monk refused to give up and continued to ask, "Can I see the Tao without you and me?"
The Zen master asked, "Since there is neither you nor me, what else can I see?"
The heart is Buddha, and the Buddha is in the heart. You don't have to, and no one else can give it to you. If there is a Buddha in your heart, there is a Buddha. When you have an idea in your mind, you will have a clear obstacle. If you are calm, you can get the road to enlightenment.
A monk asked, "What is a Buddha?"
Master Yun Xi said, "Your heart is Buddha, and Buddha is your heart. Without the heart, there will be no more buddhas. "
Monk Lin Ji said: "In our flesh, no real person often goes in and out through our eyes, ears, nose and tongue, that is, you see, hear and think there." If you haven't realized it, be sure to open your eyes. "
Another monk asked, "What is a real person?"
Monk Lin Ji asked him, "Say it! You say! "
When the monk wanted to say something, Lin Ji pushed him into the house.
Buddhism and Taoism is actually a way to cultivate one's self-cultivation, aiming at exploring oneself. Buddha is a person with self-awareness and self-knowledge, and Zen is the self-knowledge of this "real person", that is, the "self without phase". Everyone has Buddha nature, and Buddhism and Taoism are created by people, so there is no need to stick to Buddhism. The most important thing is to be yourself and demonstrate Buddhism in person, instead of learning it rigidly. Master Xingyun of Taiwan Province Province taught: "Fools do not decrease, while sages do not increase;" Living in trouble is not chaotic, living in meditation is not quiet. "
If you are unconscious, you can't get rid of some distractions and calm your heart, then you can't realize Tao and get information.
Master Daoqin went out to preach Zen, which had a great influence. Many monks come here to study and ask questions.
Once, there were many monks in Zhejiang, and many doubts could not be eliminated. They asked Zen master Qin, "Master, what is Tao?"
Taoist Zen master simply replied: "There are carp on the mountain and dust on the bottom of the sea."
On another occasion, the Zen master Mazu sent a letter to Daoqin. He opened it and found that only a circle was drawn on it. Taoist Zen master smiled and added a little. Then it was sealed and sent back.
This is very fresh. Mazu drew a circle in the letter, which means: how to understand? And Daoqin must know something, but it's not convenient to say anything, add a little! What do you mean? But I feel the harmonious heartbeat of the sacred unicorn.
On another occasion, Cui asked Qin, "Can I become a monk?"
Tao Qin said rudely, "Being a monk is what a gentleman does, not what a general can do."
In the eyes of Zen, fame, status and wealth are all like lost garbage, and they are all things outside the body. It is a gentleman to abandon all this! What do ordinary people do?
Mr. Nan, this is for those who are interested in practicing Buddhism. For the general public, there is no need to cut off their desires all the time. However, in order to reduce the troubles and pains of life, it is still necessary to be temperate, cultivate the mind and cultivate the wisdom of survival, in order to get everyone's happiness and happiness. And this, you must calm yourself down, in order to precipitate the real calcium in your heart, to eliminate some unnecessary selfish thoughts, to purify your heart, and to learn to reduce your life and be relaxed and happy. Of course, this is an effort of self-cultivation. We should consciously strengthen introspection and observe our inner world, then we can get rid of pain and all other thoughts and realize inner purity and sobriety. Of course, not everyone can do it. There needs to be a process.
But in modern society, people are impetuous, materialistic, eager for quick success and instant benefit, and mercenary. Don't say calm down, no matter how busy you are, it is hard to stop. I am always eager, busy and annoyed, and often forget why I am busy and where I want to go. ...
Now people's psychological emptiness is getting more and more serious, and they are materially rich, but spiritually empty, and they don't know how to get rid of this pain. Therefore, in order to escape from reality, many people approach the Buddhist community (or other religions) and seek comfort and relief. But many people can't really understand Buddhism, but they just can't solve their own problems in form, or conform to the trend of the times, or simply seek happiness, or seek security from the world. Because the Buddha is not the so-called Buddha, but in his own heart; If you keep thinking, the Buddha can't save you. It is even more unnecessary to practice Buddhism in form. True cultivation never lies in form, but only in one's own heart. Therefore, Mr. Nan said, "Pain and troubles are hard to get rid of. The Buddha only tells us the way to get rid of them. Relief depends on oneself, not on others. The Buddha just told us how he achieved it. You have to practice it yourself. "
Self-cultivation, like success, depends on self-cultivation, and this road of self-cultivation is more bitter. The bitter thing is to constantly reflect on yourself, control your desires, examine and overcome yourself, and carry out a "heart-to-heart" revolution. Then you can break through yourself, get fresh rebirth, inject fresh blood into your life and get brand-new vitality. Moreover, this road of practice is very long and will accompany the whole person's life. Therefore, if a person wants to live a relaxed and happy life, he must be able to endure this kind of penance, otherwise he will never be able to grasp himself in his heart, be influenced by the secular world and get no real happiness.
If we want to say thoroughly, I'm afraid Buddhism is not as thorough as Zhuangzi. Buddhists talk about abstinence and abstinence and "introspection", but if there is nothing in their hearts, as the Sixth Ancestor said, why do they practice abstinence and abstinence? On the contrary, it is likely to increase the burden in my heart and increase more karma. The natural inaction in the Taoist philosophy of Laozi and Zhuangzi is simply the unity of heaven and man, and I forget everything. Man's natural inaction is in nature, seamless, without boundaries, so what is the need for abstinence? There is no trouble, so there is no need at all. Therefore, Buddhists advocate that everything should be "fate", content with one's duty and not importune, which also absorbs the natural spirit of Taoism.
As us? Living in a society with complex competition, especially in an era when social nature has been seriously damaged and utilitarian, it is even more impossible for us to be completely "natural and inaction" and forget ourselves, and Buddhism is "hopeless" like Zhuangzi, but at least we should strengthen our self-cultivation, so that we can maintain an inner independence and freedom in the troubled secular world, and not follow the trend and lead our own life direction. Only in this way can we walk more practically and live a happy life.
