Wu Zetian's life

Wu Zetian, the second daughter of the founding fathers of the Tang Dynasty, was born to her mother Yang. She was born in Wenshui County, Bingzhou. She was born in Lizhou and Chang 'an in the seventh year of Wude. There are half-brothers Wu and Wu, and two half-sisters, one is the Korean wife Wu Shun and the other is Mrs. Guo.

My father is a soldier, engaged in timber business, and his family is well-off. At the end of his great career, when Li Yuan was working in Hedong and Taiyuan, he met each other because he stayed in the Wu family many times. Li Yuan fought against the Sui Dynasty in Taiyuan, and the Wu family sponsored the tax service, so it was erected in the Tang Dynasty. He has served as minister of the Ministry of Industry, assistant minister of Huangmen, six provincial judges, governor of Yangzhou Governor's Office, governor of Lizhou and governor of Jingzhou. During the Zhenguan period, he was transferred to the Ministry of Industry as a minister and a secretariat of Jingzhou, and became a monarch. After his father died in the ninth year of Zhenguan, his cousins Wu Huaiyun and Wu both lost to his mother Yang.

165438+ October 637, Wu Zetian was fourteen years old. When she first entered the palace, Emperor Taizong called her into the palace, saying that she was beautiful in appearance and dignified in manners. She was awarded the title of "Wuzi", named "Wu Mei", and later generations posthumous title Wu Meiniang. Before Wu Zetian entered the palace, she said to the widowed mother Yang, "Isn't it a blessing that the emperor has some support? Why are you crying to be a descendant? "

As for Wu Zetian's court career in the period of Emperor Taizong, Shi Cheng did not make a detailed appearance. Only Wu Zetian recalled in her later years that she had trained horses for Emperor Taizong. Emperor Taizong had a horse called Shiziqi, which was thin and willful, and no one could conquer it. Wu Zetian handled it well in advance and said to Emperor Taizong, "I can dress it, but I need three instruments: one is iron whip, the other is an iron bar, and the third is a dagger. Whip it with an iron whip. If it is rough, hit its skull with an iron bar. If it is rough, cut its throat with a dagger. " Emperor Taizong boasted about Wu Zetian's ambition.

However, Wu Zetian did not win the favor of Emperor Taizong. She has been a scholar for 12 years, and her status has not improved. During the period when Emperor Taizong was seriously ill, Wu Zetian and Prince Li Zhi erected their emotions.

In the twenty-third year of Zhenguan, Emperor Taizong died, and Wu Zetian followed the example of Tang harem and joined the ranks of concubines in Chang 'an Ganye Temple as a nun, but she always made a clean break with the new emperor Li Zhi.

In the first year of Yonghui's re-entry into the palace, on the anniversary of Emperor Taizong's death, Tang Gaozong and Wu Zetian met again and told each other their feelings of parting.

In the second year of Yong, the queen who fell out of favor because she had no children saw it in her eyes, so she decided to ask Emperor Gaozong to put Wu Zetian into the palace in order to attack her rival in love. Li Zhiyou had this idea and immediately agreed.

In the second year of Yonghui, Tang Gaozong's fierce suit was full, and Wu Zetian entered the palace again. Before entering the palace, Wu Zetian was already in the body. After entering the palace, she gave birth to her son Li Hong. After returning to the palace, Wu Zetian really quickly defeated Xiao Shufei and won the love of Li Zhi. In May of the following year, he was worshipped as a second-rate Zhao Yi. In advance, the Queen Wang and Wu often competed and spoke ill of each other, but Li Zhi wouldn't listen.

Wu Zetian is calculating and soft-hearted, dabbling in literature and history. In 64, Wu Zetian gave birth to her eldest daughter You Fei. According to "The Book of the New Tang Dynasty as a Mirror", when Princess Youyou was born, the Queen Wang came to visit, pitied and teased the princess to play. After the Queen Wang went out, Wu Zetian strangled the girl and covered her quilt. Just when Li Zhi arrived, Wu Zetian pretended to laugh, uncovered the quilt and watched the children together. Wu Zetian burst into tears when she found her daughter dead. Ask people around you what's going on, and they all say, "The Queen has just been here." Li Zhi was furious and said, "The queen killed my daughter!" Then, with tears in her eyes, Wu Zetian scolded the queen for her crimes. The queen also can't explain clearly that Li Zhi has plans to "abolish the king" in the future. However, this matter is controversial. Books written by five generations, Old Tang Shu and Tang Yaohui, recorded the sudden death of the little princess.

In June of the sixth year of the emblem, it was widely rumored in the harem that neither the Queen Wang nor her mother Liu wanted to win. When Li Zhi learned about this, he was furious and drove his mother Liu out of the palace. He also wants to turn Wu into gold. Stopped by prime ministers Han Yuan and Lai Ji, she didn't succeed at first. Prior to this, the court elders headed by Sun Chang Wuji and Chu Suiliang came to power, and Li Zhi's rights were greatly restricted. Many foreign ministers headed by Sun Chang Wuji prevented Tang Gaozong from abolishing Wang Liwei, and Wu Zetian's journey was full of hardships. Li Zhi tried to restore imperial power by "abolishing the king" and hit the forces of old ministers. Therefore, Wu Zetian became the first political "comrade-in-arms" of the emperor.
