1988 Wang Chengxi went to the Netherlands to participate in the China Modern Art Exhibition held in Beijing and made an investigation. China painter Wang Chengxi's oil painting Fragrant Garden was placed in the VIP room of the Japanese House of Representatives.
1990 Wang Chengxi was received by President Huang Jinhui at the Wang Chengxi Exhibition.
1993 Wang Chengxi set up a permanent "Wang Chengxi Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition Room" in Taichung City.
1993 At the joint invitation of Mr. Chen Lifu and Mr. Jiang Weiguo, Wang Chengxi held the "Wang Chengxi White Eyebrows Exhibition" at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall.
1995 Wang Chengxi and six famous Japanese politicians, Nakasone Yasuhiro, Noboru takeshita, Kenzaburo Hara, Gotoda Masaharu, Hiraiwa Gaishi and Yi Long, held the "Exhibition of the Works of Wang Chengxi, a Famous Modern Painter of China" in Takashimaya, Japan Bridge, Tokyo, and successfully exhibited it.
1996 At the invitation of the Friendship Society of the Asian Cultural Exchange Center in Japan, Wang Chengxi held a personal painting and calligraphy exhibition in Japan from late August to early September.

In 2009, Wang Chengxi was invited to Japan to attend the premiere of Xiangyuantu at the China Pavilion of the Osaka World Expo in order to let more audiences see this "Xiangyuantu" symbolizing Sino-Japanese friendship.
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Art Institute, China painter Wang Chengxi specially created a Chinese painting "Xiangman Gankun" as a gift to the people.
