When Wang Yougui 15 years old graduated from high school, he was admitted to the county art troupe as a bamboo flute player. 1978 was admitted to the art department of Hunan Normal University, and stayed as a teacher after graduation. 1986 transferred to the Institute of Sound Studies, Beijing Institute of Art; 1988 entered the composition department of the Central Conservatory of Music for further study, and became an instant hit with "My brother tied you to my heart". In 2000, he was transferred to China Song and Dance Troupe as the director of the Creation and Editing Center; 200 1 12 attended the Seventh Congress of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and was cordially received by General Secretary Jiang.
Wang Yougui's music works, such as I will be you when I grow up, I belong to China, China Soldiers, Passion for Dongjiang Water, Footprints, Xiaolangdi of the Yellow River, Spring Breeze and Peach Blossom Still Laughing, are also widely known and circulated.
Among his works, I will be you when I grow up, The Story of Spring, Gone and Back, True Love Forever won the MTV Gold Award one after another, becoming the only winner of "four consecutive championships", which is still very popular and has become a teaching model in the composition field.
