Yan Song (1480— 1567) was born in Qiaojie Village (now Fenyi County, Jiangxi Province). In the eighteenth year of Hongzhi (1505), Emperor Xiaozong of Ming Dynasty was a scholar, and the Ministry of Rites moved to Shangshu, with a bachelor's degree in Hanlin Academy.
In the twenty-first year of Jiajing (1542), he joined the cabinet at the age of 63. He added Shao Fu, also a surname of Prince, and a university student in the main hall. Later, he was changed to a college student in Shao Shi and Huagaidian. In the twenty-seventh year of Jiajing (1548), he slandered Xia Yan, and later served as the cabinet record, specializing in national politics for nearly fifteen years.
In the first year of Qin Long (1567), 87-year-old Yan Song suffered from poverty and illness. After more than 20 years in power, he died of reviling by the people and squeezed into the biography of treacherous court officials in the Ming Dynasty. When he died, he was fed in the grave, with no coffin to bury him and no one to mourn. The History of Ming Dynasty listed Yan Song as one of the six treacherous court officials in Ming Dynasty, saying that he was "only interested in flattery, stealing power and bending the law".
