Xiayi county, referred to as Li for short, was called in ancient times. It is a county under the jurisdiction of Shangqiu City, Henan Province, and is known as "the hometown of Confucius in China". It is located in the east of Henan Province, at the junction of Henan, Shandong, Jiangsu and Anhui provinces, with Heze in Shandong in the north, Qiaocheng District in Bozhou City in Anhui Province in the south, yongcheng city and Dangshan County in the east and Yucheng County in the west. Longhai Railway and Lianhuo Expressway cross the whole territory of Xiayi.

In 20 14, the total area of Xiayi County was 148 1 km2, the total population was1205,900, and the permanent population was 877,500. It is the best investment city in the Central Plains to undertake industrial transfer in the three economic circles of Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and Bohai Bay.
