Formerly known as Clinical College of Bethune Medical University, it is a clinical hospital of Bethune Medical University. Bethune Medical University, formerly known as Bethune Health School, was founded in 1939 by Marshal Nie in Tang County, Hebei Province. Comrade norman bethune, a great internationalist fighter, participated in the establishment and teaching of the school. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, it became stronger and stronger. After the death of Comrade Bethune, 1946 was named Bethune Medical University, and 1954 merged with the Third Military Medical University, and the school was named the First Military Medical University. 1958 was placed under the local government, and 1978 restored the name of Bethune Medical University. In 2000, it merged with former Jilin University, Jilin University of Technology, changchun university of science and technology and Changchun University of Posts and Telecommunications to form New Jilin University, which became Bethune Medical Center of Jilin University.

So now the Clinical College of Bethune Medical University is renamed as Jilin University Hospital.
