Tibet University, located in Lhasa, Xizang Autonomous Region, is a comprehensive university affiliated to Xizang Autonomous Region. It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Xizang Autonomous Region. Tibet Tibetan Medical University, located in Lhasa, Xizang Autonomous Region, is an institution of higher learning of traditional ethnic medicine and the only Tibetan medical college approved by the Ministry of Education.
It is a university established by the People's Government of Xizang Autonomous Region and state administration of traditional chinese medicine, a unit of "pilot reform of Tibetan medicine personnel training mode" in the national education system reform, a key discipline unit of Chinese medicine under the Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a continuing education base for Tibetan medicine superior disciplines.
