Brief introduction of Charles University in Prague
Charles University in Prague, referred to as Prague University (Czech: Univerzita Karlova;; Latin: Universitas Carolina, English: Charles University in Prague) was founded by the Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV in 1348. One of the oldest universities in Europe, the first university established by the Holy Roman Empire in German-speaking areas, and the oldest and largest university in Central Europe and the Czech Republic. 1 The University of Prague is a member of coimbra Group, the European Union of Universities and Europaeum, the top universities in Europe. Prague University has trained many famous scholars and scientists in history. Tycho brahe, johannes kepler, Bernard bolzano, ernst mach and Albert Einstein all explored their discoveries here. Students and professors of Prague University have produced four Nobel Prize winners in history. It has developed into a comprehensive and world-famous institution of higher learning with 52,000 students studying here.
