University of South China was approved to establish a first-class post-doctoral research mobile station in 2002.

The library has more than 2.78 million paper books, more than 2,400 Chinese and foreign periodicals and 372TB digital resources, including 2.03 million electronic books. The school sponsors academic journals such as China Journal of Atherosclerosis, Zhongnan Medical Journal, Journal of South China University Natural Science Edition and Journal of South China University Social Science Edition.
