The predecessor of Beijing Art Media Vocational College is Beijing Xinyuanming Vocational College, which has been running for more than 20 years. In order to meet the needs of Beijing Education Commission to optimize the layout of universities in Beijing and the huge social demand for art media specialty, Beijing Art Media Vocational College was established with the approval of Beijing Education Commission and the record of Ministry of Education. Ma Wanqi, vice-chairman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Yang Rudai, former vice-chairman, served as general advisers of the College.
