It snows heavily in winter, and snowflakes drift into the broken yard. He opened the frozen ink to draw. Without rice paper, he collects waste paper and old newspapers to draw pictures on it. The team sent him to look after the vegetable garden, and there was no convenient pen and ink around him. He often squats in fields and yards, drawing on the ground with a straw stick in his hand, and he seeks sustenance in painting. His paintings not only absorb the strengths of many families, but also are unique. He wrote in Miscellaneous Notes: "In modern times, Shi Tao, Xi Shi, Mei Qing, Ma Xia, Zhang Daqian and Zi Shan were specially studied, and the strokes were changed to refer to paintings, and the old and new lines were combined. Scenery is dominated by Huangshan Mountain, Laoshan Mountain, Taishan Mountain and Guilin, and the brush and ink are all changed by Shi Tao and Zhang Daqian. Or a little achievement, boldly called' Yokogawa Painting School', or it can be said to be Laoshan Painting School. "

1964, Zhang Fushan completed the large-scale finger painting "Exploring the Victory of Donglao", with a horizontal scroll of more than 30 feet, vividly recreating the scenic spots and historical sites of Laoshan Mountain from Wanggezhuang to Ladishi, with ingenious conception, delicate fingering and appropriate shades. Li Kuchan, a famous painter, wrote an inscription for this painting: "The technique of scenic spots is excellent" and praised it: "The finger painting of Fushan has reached the point of perfection."
