The College of Land and Resources includes College of Arts, College of Education, School of Politics and Administration, School of Law, School of Management, School of History and Culture, School of Business, School of Foreign Languages, School of Journalism and Communication, School of Music, School of Physical Education of Academy of Fine Arts, School of Mathematics and Information, School of Life Sciences, School of Physics and Electronic Information, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, School of Computer, and College of Land and Resources.

West China Normal University, referred to as "West China Normal University", is a full-time provincial-level key normal university organized by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government. The school is located in Nanchong, a famous historical and cultural city. It is the first normal university in Sichuan Province and the first batch of authorized units for bachelor's and master's degrees in China. It has been selected into the National Education and Training Plan for Excellent Agricultural and Forestry Talents, the Education and Training Plan for Excellent Journalism and Communication Talents, the Construction Plan for "Double First-class" in Sichuan Province, the Education and Training Plan for Excellent Teachers in Sichuan Province, and the Education and Training Plan for Excellent Engineers in Sichuan Province, and the Sichuan 201/plan. It is the first batch of colleges and universities in Sichuan Province to train free normal students, and the first "Excellent in Sichuan Province"

China West Normal University was founded in 1946, and its birth has a direct historical origin with Northeastern University. 1937 War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression broke out and Northeastern University moved to Santai County, Sichuan Province. 1945 After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Northeastern University moved back to Shenyang, leaving Sichuan teachers and students to establish a private North Sichuan College of Agriculture and Industry in Santai. 1950, the school moved to Nanchong and merged with North Sichuan College of Literature to form a public North Sichuan University.
