Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine was founded in 1954, 10, 15. Formerly known as Jiangsu Traditional Chinese Medicine School, it was later expanded to Nanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. On 1995, it was officially renamed Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It has developed for half a century and is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning in China.
