Xiangya Medical College of Central South University (formerly Hunan Medical University) is an old school with a long reputation. Her predecessor was Xiangya Medical University, which was founded in 19 14. South China University was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2000, formed by the merger of the former Central South Institute of Technology and the former Hengyang Medical College, and was established with the approval of the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the Hunan Provincial People's Government. ■ Changsha Medical College (formerly Xiangnan Medical College)

Changsha Medical College was founded in 1990, formerly known as Xiangnan Medical College. It has two campuses in Changsha and Hengyang, offering 8 undergraduate majors and 15 specialist majors.
