This major trains students to have the basic theory and knowledge of geological and mineral exploration, master the indoor and outdoor working methods and workflow of geological survey and exploration, and have the preliminary ability to comprehensively analyze and study the geology, genesis and mineral distribution law of mineral deposits.

This major trains applied talents in groundwater science and engineering. Groundwater science and engineering of our school focuses on the research of groundwater resources and groundwater engineering, emphasizing the exploration, evaluation, development and management of groundwater resources, monitoring, evaluation and management of groundwater environment and geological environment, and engineering geological investigation, design and construction.

This major cultivates the basic theories of management, economics and land and resources science, grasps the basic theories of land and resources management and real estate development and management, and has technical skills such as measurement, drawing and computer.
