The state encourages and supports international exchanges and cooperation in the field of archives. Article 8 The national archives department is in charge of the national archives work, and is responsible for the overall planning, organization and coordination, unified construction, supervision and guidance of the national archives cause.

The local archival departments at or above the county level shall be in charge of the archival work within their respective administrative areas, and supervise and guide the archival work of organs, groups, enterprises, institutions and other organizations within their respective administrative areas.

Township people's governments shall designate personnel to be responsible for the archives management of their own organs, and supervise and guide the archives work of their subordinate units and grassroots mass autonomous organizations.
