Tsinghua University. Tsinghua University, called "Tsinghua" for short, was originally named Tsinghua Academy, and was founded in 19 1 1. It is located at No.30 Shuangqing Road, Haidian District, Beijing. It is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and a university directly under the central government. It was jointly built by the Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipality. The school ranks among the national "double-class" Class A, "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project", and has been selected into "201Plan", "Everest Plan", "Strong Foundation Plan" and "1Project" successively. Tsinghua University is located in Wudaokou, Haidian District, so it is also called Wudaokou Vocational and Technical School.
