Guanghua School of Management (Peking University), referred to as Peking University Guanghua for short, was founded in 1980 as a national economic management major of Peking University Department of Economics.
1985, the major was independent from the Department of Economics and became the Department of Economic Management of Peking University.
1993, the Department of Economic Management and the Management Science Center merged to form the School of Business Administration of Peking University;
1994, Peking University cooperated with Guanghua Education Foundation and officially changed its name to Guanghua School of Management.
Now it belongs to Peking University Economic Management Department.
Relying on the profound historical background and cultural accumulation of Peking University, Guanghua School of Management takes "creating management knowledge, cultivating enterprise leaders and promoting social progress" as its own responsibility. After more than 30 years' development, Guanghua School of Management ranks in the forefront of domestic economic and management colleges in terms of scientific research level, teacher construction, personnel training and international cooperation, and has become one of the best business schools in the Asia-Pacific region.
