Sichuan Agricultural University, formerly known as Sichuan Tongsheng Agricultural School, was founded in 1906. This is the first agricultural school established in Sichuan. 19 12 changed to Sichuan Higher Agricultural School. 19 14 was renamed Sichuan Public Agricultural College. 1927 was merged into Sichuan University, and its name was Sichuan University Academy of Agricultural Sciences. 193 1 set aside from Sichuan University and changed to Sichuan Agricultural College.
